A Luxury Styled Shoot with Arizona’s Finest Wedding Vendors

Arizona offers some of the most dramatic wedding scenery in the country — Sonoran Desert landscapes, mountain backdrops, and golden light that peaks during the cooler months from October through April. Whether you are planning a wedding at a Scottsdale resort, a Phoenix ballroom, or a private estate in Paradise Valley, the key to great photos is timing your ceremony and portraits around the desert light. One of my all time favorite movies is Midnight in Paris. If you haven’t seen it, finish reading this, then go watch it! Don’t worry, I won’t ruin it with any spoiler alerts, even though I admit that I’m the type of person who likes to watch the last scene of the movie to make sure it ends the way I want it to. As you can guess, the movie takes place in Paris. Ok, never mind, I do have to give one spoiler; the movie is a time travel movie. The main character, played by the adorable Owen Wilson, goes back to Paris in the 1920’s where he meets and hangs out with some of his heroes such as Ernest Hemingway, Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald, Pablo Picasso, and many others. All of these different artist hung out at the house of Gertrude Stein, a very influential writer.

Creative people love to hang out with other creative people. They inspire, critique, and motivate each other to push their art into fresh and innovative ways.

Just at Owen Wilson’s character fed off the creative energy of his favorite artist, I too love to work with other artist.

As a Scottsdale Wedding Photographer, I am so fortunate to be surrounded by so many talented people working in the wedding industry. And I have the pleasure of working with some of the finest.

Recently, I had the pleasure to work with the wonderfully talented florist Randi from Carte Blanche Floral Design and the equally talented wedding planner/desinger Sam from Revel Wedding Co. We teamed up with Mariee Gallery who lent us the most amazing dresses. We spent the day letting out creative juices overflow.

I love how romantic these images turned out! There is something so magical and whimsical about shooting film. I usually tend to shy away from too much color, but I am in love with the color of these images.
