A Galentine’s Day Gathering in Scottsdale

Published March 2015 · Updated April 2026

Arizona Wedding Photography

Arizona offers some of the most dramatic wedding scenery in the country — Sonoran Desert landscapes, mountain backdrops, and golden light that peaks during the cooler months from October through April. Whether you are planning a wedding at a Scottsdale resort, a Phoenix ballroom, or a private estate in Paradise Valley, the key to great photos is timing your ceremony and portraits around the desert light. I photograph weddings across Arizona and am happy to help you think through timing and locations for your day. Browse my portfolio or venue guide for more inspiration.

If you know me at all – you know 2 things are true: I love LOVE and I love girly things!

n

Earlier this year I had the idea to host some of my favorite gals in the wedding industry for a girls-only Valentine’s Day breakfast. I wanted to host it at one of my favorite places, Proof at the Four Seasons Scottsdale because I absolutely love their food as well as their killer views and patio space. As adults, we rarely ever get to celebrate these fun and flirty holidays – so I really wanted to make this morning special for those who have supported me this past year in business.

Thus, the first annual Galentine’s Day was born!

Everyone was asked to bring a personalized Valentine for each guest – and let me tell you- these ladies went far above and beyond a simple card. Cakes, floral arrangements, candles, homemade treats! You name it – they brought it. All in celebration of LOVE and each other. It really warmed my heart to see the love and encouragement in this group.

I hope you enjoy these fun and candid images. They were all shot on my medium format film Contax camera. So fun!
