Taylor and Ryan’s wedding at Mountain Shadows Resort brought pale blue dresses, white flowers, and a sweeping veil into the open landscape of Paradise Valley, Arizona. On March 14, 2026, the celebration moved from quiet moments with family to an outdoor ceremony, dinner beneath string lights, and a dance floor full of movement.
What stays with me is her father’s embrace, Ryan listening to her vows, and the way the evening gradually let loose. The film photographs hold both sides of the day: soft sunlight and closeness, then flash, laughter, and streaks of colored light.
The people closest
A final touch at her earring. Her father holding her beneath a tree. A little time together on the lawn before the ceremony. Around those quieter moments, Taylor’s bridesmaids gathered in shades of blue, their flowers and laughter filling the frame.

Under an open sky
White petals crossed the lawn, with flowers following the curved ceremony steps. The photographs move between the architecture of the setting and the people within it: her father at her side, guests watching, and the rush of hugs after the walk back down the aisle.

From sunlight to candlelight
The last light fell across blue-and-white table settings before dinner beneath the mountains. Then came the first dance, smiles across the table, and the parent dances—moments that brought the evening back to family.

Letting go
As the celebration moved inside, the photographs grew looser. Friends pulled close, drinks were raised, and the lights traced their way through the film frames. That energy belongs in the story just as much as the stillness.

That balance is what I love to photograph—editorial in composition, documentary in emotion. A sense of place, and the freedom for the day to feel like itself.
